Who We Are

About us

Roads & Chrome is an Enfield Rentals/Tours operating company running from the capital of India, New Delhi. We organise guided motorcycle tours across India on legendary Royal Enfield motorcycles. Our weapons of choice are the Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc and Royal Enfield Himalayan ADV 410cc. We have rich operating experience in landscape specific the Himalayan range of India (Ladakh/Spiti/Zanskar), the Roads of Royal Rajasthan and the mysterious land of North East India “Arunachal Pradesh”. Roads & Chrome is a brainchild of Vaibhav Vashisth (VV) who is himself a seasoned motorcyclist and a filmmaker by profession. The seed of offering motorcycle-based adventure germinated while Vaibhav was riding in the Himalaya, filming his adventurous travel docudrama “The Healing Highway”. The vision of Roads & Chrome is to help global travellers have an intimate and cherished affair with the panorama of rich India.

Vaibhav Vashisth

Vaibhav loves India. He comes from a family of freedom fighters. His grandfather was awarded the Tamra Patra by the Prime Minister of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi in the year 1977 for his immense contribution towards the independence struggle of India. Vaibhav grew up in an academic environment as his highly educated parents holding degrees of engineering and Masters in Arts. But he was destined for exploration and creativity. So, from a young age, Vaibhav went against the family academic wave and chose to pursue arts/theatre from one of the most respected theatre guru of India—‘Barry John’. During his theatre days he conducted several theatre workshops across Delhi/India with street kids, transsexuals, special people and school kids. As a filmmaker he made two short films ‘Illusion’ & ‘Dance with a stranger’, both of which got appreciated around the world in many film festivals. Currently, when not chasing new horizons on his motorcycle, Vaibhav is working on the post production of his travel docudrama ‘The Healing Highway’. This intense docudrama was shot during a motorcycle road trip to the higher Himalayas (Ladakh & Zaskar Valley) with an American and the then deep inside the Indian Ocean (Andaman Islands) with a European. Vaibhav Vashisth is a well known name in the world of Indian motorcycling with countless miles on his odometer. One can easily say that Vaibhav has ridden on each and every highway/road/terrain of India. He has extensive experience as the Road Captain for a motorcycle company before he decided to start his own venture—the Roads & Chrome Motorcycling Tour/Rental company.
